iMedicor (OTC.BB: VMCI) announced their launch of "The National Healthcare Communications Network". The Network allows:
- The transport of HIPAA-compliant secure messaging with attachments (medical records, files and images),
- A social portal that encourages peer collaboration and expansion of inbound and outbound referrals, and
- Access to a significant collection of certified Continuing Medical Education programs, staff and skill level development programs and product/device-specific educational resources.
In the initial marketing of this service iMedicor will begin immediately to select groups with a targeted base of over 500,000 physicians and their practices, all of whom are registered users of iMedicor's network partners. Licensing is priced at $24.95 per month per practice and iMedicor is expecting a 20% early adoption rate over the next several months. This equates to $30 million per year for this one network alone.
CEO Fred Zolla stated in the press release:
"The National Healthcare Communications Network will address several areas within the 'Meaningful Use' regulations coming out of Washington, especially in the areas of interoperability, security and access to patient information by qualified sources. Initial market research has demonstrated to our partners and to us, internally, that an upgrade to the current state of healthcare communications is not only needed, but also highly desirable throughout the medical community. We believe the widespread adoption of The National Healthcare Communication Network by physicians will provide a major step forward in creating interoperable HIPAA-compliant communications throughout the healthcare community."

Last month, I put out a OSI Reseach Report on iMedicor (OTCBB: VMCI) where I stated in reference to their business model:
"On the subscription side of iMedicor’s revenues, the Company has secured contracts with:
- Physician’s Alliance Network of America (20,000 physicians);
- One of the largest Managed Care Organization in the country (350,000+ physicians), and
- A soon to be announced national dental organization representing more than 135,000 dentist."
Today, iMedicor announced model #2 with the formal relationship with USA MCO:
"USA MCO, one of the nation's largest Managed Care Organizations, will launch a joint awareness campaign with iMedicor to let physicians within its network know that they now have simple access to a national Healthcare Information Exchange (HIE) that will allow physicians to satisfy "meaningful use" regulations. The focus will be the enrollment of USA MCO's 350,000 plus physicians, medical practices and other healthcare providers into the iMedicor HIPAA compliant Health Information Exchange and social community portal. USA MCO represents nearly half of the practicing physicians in the United States."
This begins the process of iMedicor establishing credibility in the medical marketplace. USA MCO is "the largest, most comprehensive, privately-held Preferred Provider Organization in America. Through esteemed panels of preferred providers, ancillary products and specialty services covering the full continuum of care, USA offers innovative alternatives to traditional group health and workers' compensation medical benefits. With a distinct freedom of choice flexibility and a 100% user-friendly platform, USA affords sound solutions through a portfolio of integrated options that are uniquely client driven; focused on the seamless blend of quality care and cost containment."
The key to the press release is the line that states, "Unlimited use of the NHCN will only be $19.95 per month per physician. Other Healthcare providers and medical practice staff members connected to the originating physician's subscription will be charged a discounted rate relative to the originating physician's subscription."
With only 10,000 subscibers per year, you are looking at annual shared revenues of $2.4 million per year. Management is certainly expecting for better penetration rates than that and you can see CEO Fred Zolla in our CEO Video Interview.
The revenue model begins at iMedicor.

iMedicor (OTCBB: VMCI) announced its launch of
Access Pharmaceuticals’ (OTCBB: ACCP) MuGard product through its pharma online marketing portal, ClearLobby, and its direct sales channel, Direct Medical Solutions (DMS). The initial phase of the marketing program includes a targeted MuGard sampling program to select iMedicor users and the DMS’ physician network. As previously announced, iMedicor has been selected by Access Pharmaceuticals, Inc. to support the North American commercial launch efforts of its lead product, MuGard – an FDA-approved, ready-to-use mucoadhesive oral wound rinse for the management of oral mucositis and stomatitis, a debilitating side effect of radiotherapy and/or chemotherapy.
MuGard is now being introduced to Centers of Excellence, Key Opinion Leaders, cancer research centers and selected physicians in the United States. The initial release of MuGard samples is part of a joint project that includes participation from iMedicor’s user base and DMS, a network of direct field representatives with strong relationships to physicians and their practices. The full national launch is expected during the third quarter using iMedicor’s highly targeted Physician Communication System (PCS), and iMedicor’s strategic partnership with Direct Medical Solutions (DMS) and other strategic partners.
“After many months of planning, we look forward to assisting Access Pharma with its introduction of MuGard on a national level,” said Fred Zolla, CEO of iMedicor. He continued, “MuGard represents a potential blockbuster product that could significantly improve the quality of life for patients undergoing certain cancer treatments. iMedicor’s ability to deliver essential information from a trusted source to specific physician audiences will significantly increase Access Pharma’s marketing ROI.”
“Our collective efforts have led to the positive acceptance of the first phase sampling program throughout the DMS network,” commented Marian Bartosiewicz, CEO of DMS. She continued, “We are pleased to be part of the introduction of a product like MuGard that can offer measurable relief to patients undergoing radiation and chemotherapy.”
“Teaming up with iMedicor and DMS is an important strategic step in launching MuGard in North America as it provides us the ability to introduce MuGard more rapidly and cost-effectively than we would expect through traditional distribution channels to doctors,” said Jeffrey Davis, CEO of Access Pharmaceuticals, Inc. He continued, “Along with this initial and on-going sample program, Access will be able to utilize the medical education aspects of the iMedicor system to further inform doctors about oral mucositis and MuGard, and to accelerate commercial uptake in the U.S. market.”
The market for the treatment of oral mucositis, expanding to include all patients undergoing chemotherapy and radiotherapy, is estimated to be in excess of $5 billion worldwide. iMedicor and DMS will share in a portion of the revenue as sales are developed within North America. Updated clinical practice guidelines for the prevention and treatment of mucositis recommend the use of a preventive oral care regimen as part of routine supportive care along with a therapeutic oral care regimen if mucositis develops.
